aroundaworld Privacy Policy

aroundaworld is developed by XYK Labs. Neither aroundaworld nor XYK Labs collects or receives personal data through the app. The app builds and stores your travel passport on your device. It has no account, advertising, analytics, or developer-operated server.

Photo access

If you grant Photos access, aroundaworld reads the capture date, library-added date, and location metadata attached to the photos you selected. The library-added date lets the app discover an older trip you import later. It does not request image pixels. Exact coordinates are reduced to an approximate one-kilometer area before they can be stored. Photo identifiers are protected with a one-way hash and a random secret kept in the device's Keychain.

Information stored on your device

aroundaworld stores inferred visits, approximate places, scan progress, review decisions, and settings in its private on-device database. This information is not sent to XYK Labs, sold, used for advertising, or shared with data brokers.

Apple services

aroundaworld may ask Apple's mapping service to translate an approximate location into a country or city. Optional purchases are processed by Apple's App Store. Apple processes those requests under Apple's privacy policy. XYK Labs does not receive your photo metadata or payment details.

Your choices

You can limit or revoke Photos access in iOS Settings, use the app with manual entries only, and erase the passport data aroundaworld keeps from the app's Settings screen. Erasing does not change or delete anything in your Photos library.
